Translated with DeepL

I played Gradius 3 (AC) on the Nintendo DS.

When I played the Super Nintendo version of Gradius 3 a long time ago, I was able to clear it just fine. (The difficulty level is completely different from the arcade version, but I didn't know that at the time.

(I didn't know at the time that the arcade version was completely different in difficulty.

For the above reasons, I thought it would be relatively easy to clear the game, but I was naive.

It was difficult to clear the game even with the save anywhere feature.

With my actual ability, I was able to clear the two sides with a lot of effort at best.

I had to work really hard to clear the third level.

I found out later that this is the most difficult shooting game in the world.

I think it's really amazing that people can clear this game, and I think they have some kind of talent.

Anyway, it was a level of difficulty that normal people should not touch.

There are a number of parts that are impossible to revive.

I saved the game, but it was physically impossible to come back from there, so I had to start over from the beginning again and again.

If you go into a high-speed maze with a speed of less than 3, you will never? I can't clear it and I'm stuck in it.

Data loss due to operation errors

 ### I made a mistake and deleted my data because I was dying so much.

### If you are sent to another world by Bacterian, you usually can't come back.

If you get hit by the last boss, Bacterian, you will be transported to the world of the first Gradius or the world of "Shara Mandake".

With the final boss (who is weak) in front of me, I was so relaxed that I dared to go for the bullet, thinking it would be okay because I could save anywhere. That was naive.

When you warp, your equipment is reset to its initial state. That was fine, but the difficulty level was abnormally high, and the amount of bullets from the enemies was unbelievable.

It's usually impossible to avoid them with zero speed in the initial state.

Even if you come back, you're still equipped with the initial equipment.

When you return to the original world of Gradius 3, you'll find that you're back to your initial equipment.

It's not that the firepower is weak, but the slow speed is too much for me.

It's usually impossible to get through a zone of regenerating walls and depts (obstacle-type enemies) at zero speed, isn't it?

There are a number of strategies for Gradius 3 on the web, but I don't think I've found one that involves coming back from a warp and then going through a dept zone.

In short, coming back from the warp is difficult even for the chosen ones who can clear Gradius 3. This may be the highest level of difficulty.

Even with the "Save Anywhere" feature, I couldn't advance at all.

Fast mazes require three speeds.

 According to the strategy site.

 According to a strategy site.

After defeating the Bactrian, there is a high-speed maze, which is a Gradius specialty, and the game is cleared after you exit it.

When you come back from the warp, your speed is zero, and you have to get three capsules to increase your speed to three in order to clear the maze, which is physically impossible.

I wondered if there were any enemies that would drop capsules? There are three turrets on the top and bottom right after you exit the dept zone, and they will drop capsules for you.

However, as soon as you exit the dept. zone, they'll start shooting at you at just the right time, so there's usually no time to kill them and get more capsules.

It's even more difficult when you have the weakest equipment.

Furthermore, if you follow the standard way, you can break through the dept zone from the center of the screen, but this time it doesn't work that way.

When you're fully equipped, you can take the route through the center of the screen, but in this case, when I came back from the warp, I was the weakest equipped, so I had to go kill the enemies in the capsule.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but I think it's a good idea.

Thoughts on Glass 3 AC

There are two games with terrible difficulty levels: "Makai Mura" and "Tower of Druaga".

"It's hard to compare it to Tower of Druaga because the quality of the difficulty is different, but I would say it's harder than Tower of Druaga.

The game's presentation, music, and coolness were all wonderful.

It made me want to buy the soundtrack.

Therefore, I thought it was a shame that this unusual difficulty level kept 90 percent of humanity away from the game.

I wonder if the production team at the time was satisfied with that.
